Challenge Day Leaders

The national Challenge Day office sends two leaders to every Challenge Day event. These two leaders lead the participants through the games and exercises that make up a Challenge Day.

The Challenge Day leaders are an important part of the process. They work from set scripts for most of the group exercises, and the design of the exercises is the source of the power of the experience. But the leaders have to be able to sense subtle shifts in the energy of the group, and to guide the participants through the rollercoaster of highs and lows that the exercises are designed to produce.

Challenge Day leaders are young people who have lived through much of the same isolation as have the students they are leading. The leaders are beautifully expressed and balanced young people, and they are inspirational to observe.

Meet the Leaders

“Challenge Day taught me how to open up myself to other people.  I used to close myself and acted like someone I wasn’t.  After Challenge Day, I started to be myself.”   - Central Florida Student
